Need a StockX Portfolio replacement? Choose a sneaker-focused tracker for a shoe rotation, a mixed-collection app such as Pieces for sneakers alongside clothing, bags and watches, or a spreadsheet for manual control. A replacement tracker cannot promise to recover your retired StockX Portfolio data.

What happened to StockX Portfolio?

StockX announced that Portfolio would be discontinued on March 12, 2026. Its notice says saved Portfolio data would no longer be accessible, while orders, bids, asks and product-level market data would remain available. That distinction matters: your purchase history is not necessarily a complete inventory of what you still own.

This guide compares collection tracking options, rather than marketplaces for buying and selling. It is not an official StockX migration service.

Which replacement fits your collection?

OptionUseful fitCheck before switching
PiecesSneakers plus designer clothing, bags, watches and other collectibles; purchase costs, available market evidence and shareable P&L.iPhone app. Review identity, size and condition; no promise of a StockX account connection or Portfolio recovery.
SneakersBookA sneaker-first collection with photo or catalog entry, estimated values and public collection sharing.Confirm platform availability, current plan limits and whether its estimates match used pairs in your size.
UnboxedSneaker organization, rotation and drop/restock discovery.Check which tracking and alert functions are included in the current plan; do not assume historical data transfers.
A spreadsheetManual fields, your own formulas and a portable file you control. You maintain prices, formulas, photos and backups yourself. It does not supply live market data.

How do you rebuild a sneaker inventory?

  1. Count the pairs physically present. Separate owned pairs, pairs already sold and a wishlist. Do not rebuild ownership solely from a shopping history.
  2. Recover purchase evidence you already have. Use accessible order history, receipts and your own saved records. Preserve unknown costs as unknown.
  3. Match each release. Photograph the shoe and box labels; record style code, colorway, size system and size. A box can belong to another pair.
  4. Document actual condition. Worn soles, missing boxes and repairs affect comparisons. New-pair prices are not used-pair sales.
  5. Add a dated estimate separately. Keep its evidence and uncertainty separate from purchase cost. Record a real sale only when one happens.
  6. Check a small sample first. Enter three different pairs, inspect their details and test how you can retrieve your records before committing the entire collection.

What should you preserve?

FieldWhy it matters
Style code and colorwayDistinguishes similar releases.
Size system and sizePrevents a price for another size from becoming your comparison.
Condition and included accessoriesSeparates worn, unworn, boxed and incomplete examples.
Purchase cost and currencyRetains your actual acquisition basis without replacing it with an estimate.
Estimate, observation date and evidence URLMakes the comparison reviewable later.
Owned, wanted or sold statusKeeps the portfolio tied to what you actually have.

Example: you bought five pairs but sold two. A list copied from your orders still contains five purchases; your owned collection contains three pairs. Rebuilding the right ownership status is more useful than assigning five fresh prices.

Will a new app show the same portfolio value?

Not necessarily. Data sources, observation dates, size coverage, condition assumptions and currencies can differ. Compare several individual pairs before comparing the total. A lower total does not prove a bug, and a higher one does not prove a better estimate.

Keep active asking prices distinct from completed sales and likely net proceeds. If a pair has no credible evidence, leave it unresolved rather than counting it as worth zero.

When is Pieces a suitable option?

Pieces fits an iPhone collector who wants sneakers in the same visual collection as fashion, bags or watches. Add a photo or product link, review the resulting identity and available evidence, and keep purchase information with the piece. It is not a sneaker resale marketplace or an authenticity service.

If release alerts and wear rotation are your main need, investigate a sneaker-specialist app. If you need a self-managed file with custom calculations, use a spreadsheet. Choose around your workflow, not a claim that one tracker can reproduce every previous total.

Can Pieces import or restore StockX Portfolio?

This guide does not promise either. Start from the records and photographs you still possess. Do not provide another service with your StockX password to recover an inventory, and do not assume a CSV template is a supported Pieces import format.

Sources and comparison method

Pieces publishes this guide and is one of the options discussed. We compared the vendors’ public product descriptions, not paid plans or hands-on speed tests. Features and terms can change; check the linked source before choosing. No service paid for placement.
