Give each pair a record you can match.
A sneaker nickname is a useful starting point, but it can span several releases. Begin with the pair in front of you and check its labels before relying on a market comparison.
- Capture the release and size. Record the brand, model, colorway and style code when available. Keep the size system alongside the number: a US, UK or EU size is not interchangeable. Note the release year only when you can confirm it.
- Show the condition honestly. Photograph both shoes, soles and any visible damage. Record whether the pair is unworn or worn and whether its box, extra laces and other accessories are included. A clean upper does not tell the whole story.
- Separate the numbers. Keep purchase price and currency as historical records. Review whether price evidence matches the size and condition before using an estimate. When a pair sells, account for fees and shipping separately from the headline sale amount. Use the resale profit calculator to compare net proceeds with what you paid.
